Kimball, Concord, New Hampshire; The following description of each view was prepared by the Honorable George W. Nesmith, LL. D., an old friend and neighbor of Daniel Webster: No. 1. The south Room of the one-story dwelling-house in which Daniel Webster was born. It is now the back kitchen of the Shaw house, in Franklin. No. 2. A view of the Dwelling House erected near the birthplace of Daniel Webster, with the back part -- being the room where he was born; also the Well, and an Elm planted by his father more than one hundred years ago. No. 3. The view of the Southern Piazza of the Webster House on the Orphan's Farm, -- purchased by Judge Webster in 1798, and owned by his son Daniel at the time of his decease in 1852. The view represents sundry visitors at the Home, June 20, 1878. No. 4. This view represents the Southern Sides of the Eastern Dwelling House on the Webster Farm, erected by R. L. Tay; the Centre Building erected by William Haddock, and sold to Judge Webster by Haddock in 1798; and the Western Building, erected by Honorable Daniel Webster, after he became the owner, about the year 1844. No. 5. A Front View of the New Building of the New Hampshire Orphans' Home, in Franklin, representing the orphans and their friends from the South Congregational Sabbath-School, Concord, New Hampshire, going in at the front door. No. 6. A correct view of the old White Oak Tree upon which Daniel Webster hung his scythe before he went to college. No. 7. Oration Rock. A view from the Rock on the hill in the orchard on the Webster Farm in Franklin, with the surrounding scenery, -- being the same rock where Daniel Webster informed us, he wrote part of his oration delivered in Salisbury, July 4, 1806.; Attest: G.
