Intellectual Description	Enclosing copy of the commission from Scotland. Acknowledges that Occom must have missed Mr. Kirtland and Mr. Whitefield and thus not have received supplies for his journey; advises finding a friend in New York who will lend him money. Advice about the work of the mission: recommends obtaining 15 or 20 youths from remote Indian tribes and finding a teacher to team their tongue, as an English lad is supposedly doing with the Mohawks. Also requests that any news of progress or notable occurrences be sent along whenever possible. Sends Gods blessings for Occom to serve as the instrument to spread the savour of His name, and the knowledge of the great salvation, far among the pagans.
