Caption	Views From the Green: “This shot of the Connecticut River shows the Milky Way visible over the ambient light from West Lebanon,” says College Photographer Eli Burakian ’00 (Class of 2000), who took the photo (June 22, 2014). Eli continues, "Saturday night was cold and clear, and the moon didn't rise until late, so I knew it would be a perfect night for capturing the stars. The twenty second exposure, shot from the path next to the Ledyard bridge, smooths out the water and reveals more details in the sky than our than our naked eyes are capable of resolving. One of the reasons I love photography is that in certain cases, it can show us in unique and engaging ways, more about the world in which we live."
